My classroom above is designed for Pre-K students to be able to learn, play, and grow as people. Where the back tv screen is, is supposed to be the morning meeting area and where we will meet for large group activities. Here you will see the SmartScreen used for various activities such as games and watching educational videos. There is also a chair for the teacher and small white board easel that will be used by not only myself but also the students. This area will be used for activities such as reading aloud, learning new curriculum, and morning meeting. All the way to the left of this area, is a little play area for the students. Thís includes a kitchen and a dress-up wardrobe. Here students can exercise their creativity by playing pretend and develop social skills by sharing with their peers. In the center of the room is a couple of chairs and tables for the students to work at to complete their work. Each student will have their own special spot, and as the year goes on this spot with change. To the left of the student's workspace, there is the teacher's desk. Here I would keep papers, student's progress and information, my personal belongings, etc. There are also stools around the desk so I can pull students back in groups to get help from me. Then all the way to the very right of the room is cubbies for the students to keep their own personal belongings in during the school day.
