QR codes are fun and creative tool that is interactive resource to implement into your classroom! Teachers can use QR codes in many different way to deliver content in their classroom. Teachers can imbed websites, articles, videos, reading assignments, journal, and so much more into QR codes. In fact, some teachers will create a scavenger hunt around the classroom using QR codes! For example, lets say the teacher wants to have students learn facts about a famous historical figure. The teacher could link each fact to a QR code and hide the codes throughout the classroom. Students will have to walk around the classroom and find the hidden codes. QR codes falls under Danielson Domain 1 which is known as planning and preparation. Teachers show their knowledge of resources when they implement this tool into their classroom. This tool also reflects the teachers awareness of how to deliver instruction in new and creative ways. Teachers can use this tool in their classroom to make their instruction more interactive! I would love to use this resource in my classroom! I think it was be a great new tool to use and can implement the use of technology in my classroom! In fact I could send home QR codes home with my students that may be linked to resources to a project they need to complete. I personally think that QR codes are a tool we often see outside of the classroom such as in restaurants or stores, and I believe QR codes should also be commonly used in classrooms.
